How to play

Crownline Chess plays by the complete official rules: castling, en passant, your own choice of promotion, stalemate, threefold and fivefold repetition, the fifty and seventy-five move rules, and dead positions. A tiltable 2.5D board, Blitz 5+3 and Rapid 10+5 clocks, and clear legal move guides. Modes: face five AI characters from Learner to Challenge (Raka, Bu Sari, Bima, Laras, Pak Darmo), always labelled AI. Solve 22 puzzles, mate in one, mate in two and material winning tactics, with spaced review. Follow the Basics path from how each piece moves, then endgame drills, middlegame plans and three openings (Italian Game, Queen's Gambit, Sicilian Defence). Play four-player round robin tournaments in the Village Cup, City Cup and Crownline Cup. Play online through Taploka rooms with an invite code and casual Elo. After a game, engine review marks blunders, mistakes and key moments on an evaluation graph, and the PGN can be copied. Stars come from lessons, puzzles, unassisted wins, tournaments and online games, and make up your leaderboard score. The Walnut, Slate and Jade boards and the Royal piece set unlock through learning and playing. Optional coin shop, every item permanent and never stronger play: Full Collection 150 coins (Walnut, Slate and Jade boards plus the Royal set), Deep Review 250 coins (review to depth 16 with 10 key moments), Game Archive 150 coins (history of 60 games instead of 20). The first name is free; every later rename costs 50 coins. Start over from zero in Settings; coin items, your name, settings and leaderboard score are kept. Coin shop exclusives: Ocean Board 90 coins, Ember Board 90 coins, Gold Piece Set 120 coins, or all three in the Atelier Pack for 240 coins. Indonesian and English, dark and light themes, Taploka cloud saves.
